These galaxies were grouped together using a machine learning process to mine a Hubble Space Telescope survey called The Cosmic Assembly Near-infrared Deep Extragalactic Legacy Survey or CANDELS for short.
Each row of galaxies are galaxies identified as being similar to each other by the ML algorithms and automatically categorised and provided with a classification number.
